Are You a Male Virgin?

Is it a Christmas joke or are some ad agencies really this inept? Check out these daft ppc ads, (see link at the bottom) many of which neatly illustrate the dangers of using Google’s keyword insertion tool.
My favourite top tip comes for DIYHomeGuide.com “Used Toilet Paper – The Top Home Improvement Resource!“ Unfortunately I shan’t be taking up this interesting challenge until after the seasonal festivities: I’m much too busy drawing up my Christmas present list, and this link has given me some great ideas! “Skin Cancer for Sale – Check out the deals now!” (www.ebay.com). I can’t think who would want such an exotic gift, but I know my Dad would be chuffed with this proposition from ebay “Fascists – Great deals on Fascists“. Also courtesy of Ebay I’m thinking about getting a “crack baby” for my friend Gill, a “nuclear weapon” for both Brothers-in-law, and a “kick in the balls” for my annoying nephew.
A thoughtful gift for single friends might be an evening class. Top of my list woud be a “certificate in terrorism” which is 100% online! How great is that!
But for the best deal of all Amazon have come up trumps as usual, with 35% off corpses. I’m getting several of these as stand-bys for those embarrassing moments when you receive an unexpected present and you have to say “I haven’t wrapped yours yet” and then run upstairs with the sellotape and gift-wrap.
But joking apart, my favourite ad is the result of superb keyword selection and I bow down before whoever manages this account. Search for World of Warcraft and Google will show you the following ad: “Are You a Male Virgin? Our guide will answer all your embarrassing questions“. Now who could use one of those…?
