Dan Fallon
Managing Director
Dan started working in advertising in 1992 after graduating from Warwick University where he studied economics. He gained the Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma in 1993. From 1993 to 2005 Dan worked in media agencies (MediaCom, Manning Gottlieb OMD and The Response Team) starting as a Graduate Planner/Buyer and finishing as Media Director.
Dan was one of the first people in the UK to qualify as a Google Advertising Professional and set up Search Star Ltd in 2005. Since then he’s been working towards a flat stomach.
Nettie Wells
Account Director
Nettie was Search Star’s first employee having joined us from the automotive industry where she was Client Services Director for an engineering company.
She studied Modern Languages at Bristol University and is fluent in French and German. She swears more than the rest of us put together but is also the office spelling and syntax expert (very useful when writing ad copy). She has recently become addicted to Pacman.
Emma Chun
Account Director
Emma joined Search Star in 2010 after graduating with a First Class degree in Marketing and making herself a small fortune selling flip flops on eBay whilst a student. Whilst she may confess to being a ‘bit of a perfectionist’, the truth is she’s obsessed. Whether it’s a company logo 3 pixels too big or a strand of hair caught out of line, you can rely on Emma to get everything in ship shape order before you can say PPC. Here’s a quote from 4 year old Emma: “When I’m 5 I’m going to be a teacher. When I’m 6 I’m going to know everything”. Enough said.
Rosie Horsfall
Account Manager
Rosie graduated from Bristol University with a degree in Sociology. With rural South Wales having little to offer her in the way of Advertising she headed towards London sharpish but got waylaid en-route by Search Star in Bath. She is our resident personal shopper and vows never to wear the same outfit twice to meetings.
Lizzy Lillington
Account Manager
Lizzy is a top dollar Marketing and Advertising MA graduate. Originally from Dorset, Lizzy ventured to Bath to take on the world of online advertising, finding her way to Search Star.
Jack Sladek
Account Manager
Jack joined us from an IT background and we’re fairly sure he came from the Internet. His uniquely geeky client portfolio touches on everything from pond-pump PLAs to dental treatment YouTube ads. Always partial to a quick trivia round, Jack has a penchant for (questionably) “Fun Facts of the Day”. The trouble is, to a non-binary speaking layman, they’re not always enormously fun…and come to think of it, they’re not always facts.
Joe Charlesworth
Account Manager
Joe graduated from Bath University with a MSc in Marketing, and like the rest of us has a passion for online advertising. Originally from Chester and completing his undergraduate degree at Newcastle, Joe has fallen in love with Bath. In his spare time Joe likes to pretend he’s actually good at football, we think he should stick to PPC.
Ed Culliford
Account Director
Ed has 7 years of experience managing sophisticated digital campaigns across the Travel, Publishing, E-commerce and Charity industries. Having casually completed a Masters in Philosophy at Bristol University whilst in full time employment, it’s fair to say Ed is a better multi-tasker than most. With a half marathon under his belt, a recipe book to give Paul Hollywood a run for his money and a growing portfolio of Analytics projects, Ed brings a wealth of experience & intelligence to the table. And a bloody good brownie.
Fergal Crotty
Account Executive
We figured there’s a fairly small population of Carmarthen-born, roller-blading Communications graduates in the world. Luckily we found one!
Fergal Crotty is the second Welsh addition to the team, but our very first National Roller-blading Champion. You can see exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the child-champion F. Crotts here. He told us the fall was on purpose… We’re just glad he landed on his feet at Search Star.
Lucy Horton
Account Executive
Bath born & bred and with top class degree in Mathematics from Southampton University Lucy was a bit of a find. As well as crunching PPC stats and writing increasingly erudite blogs she’s also a self-confessed Beyonce devotee.
Dawn Kettle
Finance Manager
Dawn is responsible for all things finance related. As an MAAT accountant she is all about numbers, performance indicators and stats… she also does invoicing so if she's calling you've probably overlooked an invoice. Dawn’s projected forecast for this year is for plenty of sunshine and Tottenham to win the premiership!
