About Good Energy

Good Energy were the first dedicated 100% renewable electricity supplier. They supply over 50,500 electricity customers, 24,000 gas customers and support over 73,000 homes, business and communities in generating their own energy.

Objectives

After an unsuccessful period of running PPC in-house, Good Energy came to SearchStar looking for a robust digital media strategy to make sure they could achieve their ambitious growth targets.

Results

After resolving a number of tracking issues within Google Analytics, all of Good Energy’s PPC campaigns were rebuilt using best practice to improve granularity and targeting.

  • Social advertising campaigns are in place to allow for full coverage of consumer activity
  • DoubleClick is used for remarketing to non-converting visitors
  • Using data from Analytics to identify and target a custom audience, a prospecting campaign to attract new customers via DoubleClick is in place

From the targets originally set out with Good Energy, SearchStar has achieved a 149% uplift, above target, in leads. This has led to an increase in revenue and market share for the client as well as increased brand exposure.
